With entrepreneurial zeal, a laser focus on detail, and a demanding work ethic, Jeff Tolle is EMPATH’s s go-to guy when things must get done right, on time, on specifications, and without problems. Although Jeff is not on the Creative or Design teams, he sees the beauty in the details. We like that about him; our clients love that about him.
Jeff most often focuses his energies on our Brand Incubator and Licensed Partnerships projects. These projects eventually become our own brands. In essence, we rely on Jeff to ensure that deadlines are met, legal issues are adhered to and financial deals are structured efficiently and effectively, as well as rigorously certifying that all strategic partners are vetted and adhere to our rigid standards of quality. He has recently helped lead innovation projects generated from our Brand Incubator where he collaborated with clients such as Fender Musical Instruments Corp, Blue Note Records, Capital Records, EMI and Universal Music Group to uncover unmet needs.
Jeff is responsible for many other aspects of EMPATH’s operations, from finance to investor relations, from IT to process definition and product development.
Before he started collaborating with EMPATH in 2011, Jeff had been an entrepreneur since 1998, which gave him the opportunity to make better use of his diverse background and formal business education. Once there, he never looked back. He has been involved with a number of start-up organizations, assisting in long-term strategic planning, developing financial projections, and evaluating various investment opportunities. He also provided advisory services for investments and asset protection, as well as operational support for a handful of new ventures, as Managing Partner of SageVest Advisors. Jeff’s clients include PG&E, Seagate Software, and SAES Getters Group in the IT arena. He has also carved out a special niche in the Health, Wellness and Fitness industry and established significant funding relationships in the alternative energy sector.
On a more personal note, Jeff has assumed leadership roles in volunteer organizations, particularly at his church in San Luis Obispo, CA. He also founded the Quest for Gold Foundation, a non-profit organization providing training services for international, Olympic-caliber athletes. In his dwindling spare time, Jeff teaches cardio/strength-training classes and wishes he had more time for golf.
Jeff earned both his ABM business degree in 1988 and then his MBA in 1992 from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
